Walcott was a superbly conditioned athlete - 15 round fighter - never appeared tired in his championship 15 round days. I met Walcott in his 60's - he was a very impressive man - solid shoulders and neck hands and arms.

I met Ali-Holmes-Dempsey-Tunney- among others- Walcott and Frazier stand out as physically strong men - Dempsey was an older man but hands like steel - Tyson was shorter than I expected but equally imposing

All of these men were 15 round fighters except Tyson (who was also superbly conditioned for the majority of his fights

Walcott sure gassed against Marciano. If that can't be seen, somebody needs new eyeballs.

Walcott still was actively moving and firing back - it was round 13 when he got caught with a tremendous right hand,Walcott was very fit- Marciano's pace and pressure was intense

gassed for me would be Vlad against Brewster - Foreman vs Ali or Shavers vs Lyle or the 80's leaning fests of Tubbs- Page & Witherspoon- who could barely fight 5 rounds without holding or leaning.

I would love to see 15 rounds again - those last 3 rounds after fighting 12 rounds make a big difference

He gassed himself out trying to finish Marciano in the 11th and was walking backward in postholes. He was absolutely gassed. Writers up and down the Eastern Seaboard were predicting that Walcott's legs would be his undoing in this fight because of this age. And they were correct.

Marciano is up between one of the ugliest champions ever. Gerry Cooney had ****** face too but he was not a champion so he is saved by the bell

While the Rock elicits a lot of extreme reactions both for and against him , there is no denying his gas tank regardless of which side you happen to be on.

You can train to improve conditioning, but there's also a large genetic component determining what your ceiling is. The guy got blessed in that regard and worked his butt off to maximize it.

Crazy to think he had conditioning like that in the days before EPO was around.

I wouldn't argue at all with someone preferring peak Frazier, either...it's a short list if we're talking classics, led by swarmers for me. It's the most demanding fight style from an energy perspective.

The modern day freaks are guys like Ike, Big Baby Miller, and Holyfield. I don't think it's a coincidence they either popped positive or had PED suspicions around their career given the inherent struggle of being a cardio monster while maintaining (or even building) body mass.

Marciano VS Frazier is my dream fight, and either would be a good choice.

Holy, Ali, Vitklit, Ike and Tua in their fight...
