    Was Ron Lyle the G.O.A.T. ?


    I know he's quite a safe pick but I'm not so sure he was the absolute best of them all.


    I'd probably say Andrew Golota, who was not only the G.O.A.T. but was truly the GREATEST OUTSTANDING LEGEND OF THEM ALL (ie. the G.O.L.O.T.A)

    Tua is top 10, no doubt.

    Ibeaubuchi just doesn't have the depth of big fight losses on his resume to make the cut, IMO.
    He's top 25 for sure but never showed he could LOSE BIG like the true GREATS. And he only had about 20 wins !

    Not much.
    Bunce and Haye no longer flavour of the months, I guess, for obvious reasons. But still, the general bias (towards current Brit fighters, in its Bunce-esque form) even from "informed" postors gets a bit silly. And I love my British boxing.

    Of course, my criticism of the Brit forum is excessively harsh and unwarranted ..... but i just got Ray Parlour'd, bro. :twisted:

    Never nice being Ray Parlour'd, I was one of the first to call for it to be dealt out to trolls (there is a gigantic picture of him found by WalletInspector that started it but we usually get banned for posting that :lol: it's huuuuuuuge)

    I don't think there's that much pro-British stuff nowdays. The 'informed' psoters pull peeps up on it.

    I'd say it's more like a far more tolerable General Forum nowadays :thumbsup

    It's FAR FAR more tolerable than the General Forum, yes. I'm all for supporting British fighters but some degree of realism has to come in to it, AND often I see current British fighters being overrated at the expense of our former fighters from our shores. That's rather annoying. People in the UK are too quick to forget anyone we had before SKY TV !
