He never fought any big punchers, ducked the best fights available his whole career, also a notorious roid abuser, was Roy always a mentally weak fighter???
Absolutely. He refused to make the biggest fights happen by pricing himself out, refusing to travel, and outright ducking, he would not face anybody who could punch, and when faced with adversity he had no Plan B and folded like a lawn chair every time. He was and is a joke. A Glass Jawed Joke.
He was a lawn chair, he folded everytime the pressure was on. Griffin 1, Tarver 2, Tarver 3, Johnson The only time he showed some fight was the first Tarver fight.
IMO there's smoke he was always a front runner who never had to deal with any type of adversity, then he fights Tarver who gives him the hardest fight of his life, a fight I felt he won comfortably(2 or 3 rounds give or take) and didn't have to rematch. He then rematches him and continue his normal arrogant bravado, then the fight is about to start the ref goes through the rules and ask do you have any questions then Tarver states "You have any excuses tonight Roy", when I seen that I knew without 100% doubt that Tarver would win, you didn't see the normal Roy, confident ready to get it on liuke he usually does, he looked unsure and like a defeated man, he knew he went life and death with him the first fight and those simple words shattered the mentally weak fighter and had Jones hesitant as ever then proceeds to get brutally KO'ed. Tarvers words more than anything he ever did in the ring destroyed Roy IMO
bladebumda You're just bitter because he says he can beat your boyfriend Floyd with ease :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl
