Faster for his size? Yes. Faster hands overall? I don't think so, but they were both ridiculously fast. Mosley in his prime was a little energizer battery.
when i watch roy jones with single shots- ive never seen any fighter in any weight faster. the guy seemed impossibly fast in his prime.
Roy was faster. Both in a P4P sense and a literal sense. Watch with your eyes, not with what "knowledge" you're given about physics. Roy was definitely faster, and he was faster than most Featherweights, Bantamweights, etc as well.
That would be against the laws of physics. Smaller fighters are meant to be faster. Roy however almost did defy the laws of physics it seemed at times.
Roy wasn't faster than Shane. He was exceptionally fast for his weight class, but what really set him apart and gave the impression of WW-like speed was that he threw the punches from unusual, often bizarre, angles and positions.

I don't know about at 168. But at 154 and 160 (including b4 turning pro) he was ridiculous. Maybe even faster than Mosley at 135. He was the new standard. Arguably faster than anyone before him including SRL (fighting at a lower weight class - 147). I think I'd take Roy at 154 over anyone.
Incredible to watch old Roy fights. (Except when it's that Legends of the Ring **** with Mike Buffer doin cheesy commentary after every round and a friggin 12 round fight takes 2 hours to watch ).
