Roy was faster. Don't think that just because Mosley was smaller he was faster that is not true, Roy Jones was faster than him at 154-168. Meldrick Taylor and maybe Camacho are the only fighter's I've seen faster than Roy.

    Mosley for me.

Roy was of course very fast, and looked faster knocking out and playing with tomato cans.

    Single shot = RJJ

    Combination punching = Mosley

Hard to tell without placing them side by side given that they were both very quick but, Jones was much faster than guys his own weight than Mosley was, hence, it could make it appear that Jones was faster.

Roy was unbelievably fast, but no way you could convince me that a guy who fought at middle and light heavyweight is actually faster than a guy like Mosley who fought at lightweight and welter.

Roy just appears quicker in some of these vids because he flinging around a greater amount of mass at a much higher rate of speed than usual. Same thing happens with Toney at heavyweight. He's only about average speed at smaller weights, but appears much quicker at heavyweight because you're just not used to seeing a man that big throw punches that sharply.

So like I said before, Jones might have been faster in a p4p sense, but no ****ing way he's quicker handed than Mosley in a real literal sense.

Maybe. We talking juiced up Mosley or non-juiced?

That's funny, considering Roy's opposition was 10X better than Mosley's opposition at LW.

I think Roy did have faster handspeed, at least for single punches, for flurries it was probably about even. I don't think any fighter in any weight class had a faster one punch than Roy in his prime.

This is difficult. As Shane's entire game at 35 was PURE speed. His jab his combinations were fast. He moved on the balls of his feet so quickly and was always primed to pull the trigger. Jones was a different animal with a different style that relied more on reflexes than Shane's offensive first style. Id go for Shane but only just.

Yes, Roy was clearly faster IMO. Slightly faster of hand, far far faster of foot. Far far faster p4p, slightly faster in a literal sense.
