And what, the answer the most will pick will be the proof he was on steroids or not?

Stupid thread... he was caught using steroids in the Hall fight. He wasn't caught using steroids in any other fight. End of story.

(The correct queston: does it bother you that Jones and Toney were caught on using steroids during their career? My answer: YES!)

ask all the people to prove it. I 2 have heard that same bs, but no1 has supplied any proof of those allegations. He tested positive for some banne stumulant after the Richard Hall fight. RJ said he was taking Rippe Fuel for that fight and nothing else. All the different sacntioning bodies may have diferent substances that are outlawed, so mayb somethin in ripped fuel made him test positive for that fight on that night. But be4 or after that he never tested positive for any kind of banned substance. Every1 i amking allegations but no1 is supplying evidence. If dude was juicing his whole career, why would he juice for RICHARD HALL:huh of all people. I would think he wouldve juiced for his Heavyweight fight, but again he didnt test positive for anything in that fight. So people just need 2 stop it. DUde was just really that nice

Its a possibility. Only him and BALCO know for sure.

He certainly used drugs, that is not debatable, but his positive test was several years later. Its quite possible he only started using drugs when he moved up in weight but that of course is pure speculation.

I made a comment about this on another thread Ripped fuel is Ephedrine , try taking some epehedrine see how it makes you feel its crazy stuff I used to use before hockey games for exrtra jazz !

I however do not agree that Jones would have had a much different career wthout it !

wat does ephedra do? I noticed they removed that out of all weight loss pills in general.

So you fell for the press release bull**** too?

The state doctor specifically said it was not ripped fuel, it was steroids. Had he been wrong he would have been sued but he hasnt has he?

The only time his test went to the state doctor rather than the sanctioning body he tested positive. 1 independant test, 1 fail. Not good.

And as you say why would he juice for Hall and not the others?

Roy Jones is the greatest athlete to step into the boxing ring, possibly of all-time.

"He was Michael Jordon with boxing gloves on"

Of course he was on steroids. No way he beats an almost prime Hopkins without them.

The problem is he tested positive for steroids not ephedrine or any similar substance. His press realease just bullshitted about ripped fuel as a cover. And obviously mugs fell for it.

not necessarily, risk of bad press, and risk of it hitting maintream america is something he has 2 think about. There is no evidence of him juicing for no other fight, so im not gonna sit here and speculate on that, if you bring me evidence that he did then so be it.

Not quite. Roy probably could have been the best ever, and it looked like he was going in that direction when he dominated Toney.
But then, he began to cherry pick. A lot of credit is given to Roy for his brutal ko of Virgil Hill. Problem is Roy SHOULD have been fighting Michaelszewski, who has already beaten Hill. Then when he moved up to heavyweight, he just fought Ruiz who was essencially just a contender. A real all time great would have fought Lennox Lewis.
He could have been, he should have been, but he didn't have enough big fights.
