why would you be here too long making a list of MWs who went to HW, mate? how many pages is your list? just tell me how many boxers are on the list roughly? 10? 20? 40? 50?
In his prime RJJ was a God with gloves in the ring. He could literally land and KO at will and not get hit much in return. Still probably the sickest boxer I've ever seen in the ring. People only say he's overrated because how his career went towards the end. If he would have retired immediately after beating Ruiz he would have been a top 15 ATG with ease.
If it was that easy then everyone would do it. The fact remains he did do it. Quit trying to discredit it just because you don't like Jones. If Calzaghe or GGG had done it you'd say it was the greatest achievement in boxing history.
Don't hold your breath. Timeout is a horrible troll who doesn't know **** about boxing and never adds an ounce of boxing analysis. I'd be willing to bet he's never even seen a prime RJJ fight. He just repeats stuff he hears from other haters, he's useless.
Again you plum, I rate Jones very very highly, your making stuff up again. I have him no1 maybe 2 at super middle all time. Facts are though, he was a roid head, we all know that, and he payed the price trying to cut back down to 175, trying to shift the muscle he had packed on for Ruiz. He's a poster boy for steroid abuse, Holyfield too, I also rate Holy extremely high, but it is what it is. You pop up replying to my post's saying I don't like certain fighters, I used to think you were getting me mixed up with someone else, but then I realised you a little liar
Cant really disagree there. I'm not a fan of RJJ. I'm neutral about him. But this board would detonate if GGG won a HW title. Imagine if he beat Hopkins with a broken hand or shutout James Toney? The server would overload. It would be like dropping a nuke on this board.
More like Naseem Hamed than Floyd Mayweather..... Like Nas, he needed both his boxing ability + his character to become an icon of the sport. Taking away Floyd's character, wouldn't take away the fact his resume is ATG.
Yeah, Holy was older. He was also a real HW. What Lewis 'could' have done is irrelevant. What is relevant is. regardless of feelings towards Ruiz, he was a long standing belt holder, and no other HW's had as easy a time w/ Ruiz as Jones.
Great fighter but took PEDs and I don't buy the drained excuse vs Tarver. He is still drained for the second fight? I find that hard to believe. Tarver had his number and KHTFO. He is all of a sudden shot after his win vs Ruiz at HW? When Tarver was drained for B-Hop right after the Rocky movie, no one said anything. Just shows bias.
The number of boxers who have put on weight, and then dropped back down, to fight successfully is VERY SHORT. Especially when you look at how much Jones went down. It had a detrimental affect on his body. Actually, a lot of people said Tarver was drained as well. But more people didn't care for Tarver, so few defended hum.
