I think it was a fair stoppage in that Roy wasnt throwing back. That said i dont think Green was landing much mainly hitting Jones gloves and a couple of good body shots. The knock down reminded me of Cecil Coffey against David Tua, a punch that affects the equillibrium more so than a concussive punch. Judah Tzsyu as well, facilties seem in tact but the balance is out. Sometimes takes a few seconds to clear sometimes a minute or two.
The ref was left with little choice in my opinion but to stop it

What a stupid question, did you watch the fight poll creator, I'm guessing not because if you did you would know he never threw one meaningful punch. You are supposed to fight back, Jones was not.

As a fan of Boxing and a fan of Roy Jones I will be extremely disappointed if the fight with Hopkins goes ahead. If this happens it will confirm to me the reason Jones is going ahead with the fight is nothing more than greed. He has no punch resistance and has been in rapid decline for a while now. Calzaghe schooled him and burst him up, his face was a mess a sure sign his reflexes where gone. And now after last night the resistance has also gone. The Lacy fight is no parameter.

Hang them up Roy you are finished. If the mess of your face after Calzaghe busted you up never told you that then you are either stupid or just driven by GREED I am guessing the later.

This guy has no place being in the same ring as Hopkins

RJ gave the ref no choice. He wasn't throwing back. And a veteran as savvy as RJ knows this.
