How many people have left hooks as good as prime Roy? I don't remember Oscar landing any meaningful hook on Floyd. Cotto(e) got one in the 5th round while Floyd was against the ropes, and I believe one more later. The best "hookers" Floyd has fought basically had their hooks become useless.

Str8 left is different punch from left hook.

While the left hook can become a tool against shoulder roll artists, it isn't the tool against Floyd Mayweather.

My stance has always been good right hand AND jab.

Castillo used the right hand well against Floyd. Cotto(e), who is a "hooker" and "converted", ended up relying on right hand for power punches. Tijuana, who was rumored to get the better of Floyd in sparring, is also right hand reliant.

Oscar's best shot of the fight came in the 11th round when Floyd was against the ropes, and he caught him with an overhand right. Then during the final 10 seconds of the fight when Floyd uncharacteristically brawled, Oscar got his free shot in in the form of a right.

I agree it's not the choice punch to throw against Floyd, the jab and right hand are superior, but if you bring his right hand out, it can land. Those fighters didn't land many of those left hooks, but when they did, I noticed it was often when he brought his right hand down to parry and left that side of his face momentarily exposed.
