Paulie Malinaggi stated during Parker v AJ that Joe was trying to use Roy`s tactics that he used vs Ruiz, do you think Parker fight indicates how a fight at heavyweight would have gone down between AJ and a peak Jones?
Joshua is superior to Ruiz in every department. RJJ's guide to winning was based on the fact that Ruiz was really a blown up Cruiserweight, with no athleticism. I cant see RJJ beating someone like Washington, let alone Joshua.
RJJ was on the con at HW. He just picked on the weakest champion and then ran back to CW. Roy never had the frame to be a HW or the chin. Also he could hardly continue taking those steroids to maintain his weight as a HW...the risk of peeing hot is always there. He should have RETIRED after beating Ruiz. His legacy peaked at that point and he had nothing left to prove.
Only by the ref, the couple of times he tried to go for broke and get inside, but he was content to spoil with his jab the rest of the time, he was completely negative.
Parker was more aggressive than Haye was in that fight and threw far more jabs, AJ is a million miles above Valuev`s boxing ability.
No I’m saying RJJ vs Ruiz was more like Haye vs Valuev than AJ vs Parker.. AJ bs Parker was a lot like Canelo vs GGG to me where both guys seem to hold back afraid of what the other was gonna do
He was very ineffective no matter the variable. The ref did nothing to stop Joseph Parker. There’s always an excuse for this guy.
