was ruddock vs morrison stopped too soon ??

Ruddock took some insane shots though, he was hanging on but he was getting hurt badly. I think the stoppage was justified.

That said, I do believe Ruddock could have hung on and made it to the bell. Morrison was gassing fast after trying to put Ruddock out and the next round would have been extremely interesting.

 

By his reaction, Razor certainly seemed to think that it was. Here is a nice four minute highlight reel. Nice little fight that came to a rather abrupt end. I think Donoven could have been given another chance to compose himself.

Yes, it was a bad stoppage. The last straight left hand is unbelievable, but it was still a bad stoppage.

 

The referee in that fight sucked.

 

Yes, a little early. Morrison had been just as hurt earlier on and they let the fight go on. Razor was still in the fight, imo.

In his defense, he did say that Ruddock was out cold before he hit the canvas but the bounce seemed to awaken him. That can be a bit disconcerting for ref, I imagine.

 

Alan Sugar is always disconcerted.

 

A touch early but I've seen far worse. One more good head snapping shot and the ref would of been criticized for stepping in too late. Ruddock needed to throw a punch back.

 

Prime Ruddock would have smashed Morrison to bits.
