I would have let it go a little longer, BUT Ruddock wasn't throwing anything back he was just lying on the ropes getting hammered:deal.. Pretty much a moot point, Morrison was giving him the business, and was just a better all around fighter... It was 20 years ago but what from i recall Ruddock didn't protest the stoppage much:-(, so if he's fine with it why should we care:huh. Without doubt this was one of the best fights of the 90's..:good
A better all around fighter??? Maybe at THAT point in time but Ruddock had one fight in three years going into that bout and hadnt fought in a year and half. He was four years removed from the beating that Tyson gave him which left him in the hospital. Prime for prime Ruddock smashes Morrison.
That left hook seemed to kill Rzor right there. That was one of the hardest KD's when the fighter beat the count. I think stoppage was decent at least. Ruddock also got up every time vs Lewis, that didn't change the outcome.
RR never moaned at all hardly, he looked dazed as **** from the knockdown onwards. Seen far worse so i think it was fine overall.
He claims in his interviews that Tyson hit him the hardest and that ofcourse the Tyson fight finished him
Lipton always struck me as a very peculiar character. He always talked about this massive consipiracy against him to prevent him from refereeing in New York. He blamed Arthur Mercante Sr. I was on Cyberboxinzone when it was active, and people treated Lipton like he was this all-time great boxing person. If you look at his resume, he's less accomplished than someone like Vic Drakulich. And Drakulich doesn't run around taking thousands of photos of himself with his shirt off. Regarding Morrison-Ruddock, it was stopped too soon.
agreed on both counts ruddock/morrison stopped to soon and lipton douchbag with shirt off all the time :deal
