Seems most of press row had Ruslan winning. Only those here who argue Algeiri won legitamately have some kind of agenda.

Fight could have been stopped early or late, at any given time due to the massive face rearranging. Also the two LOCAL judges were very generous to give Algeiri rounds, especially rounds where ruslan was rocking algeiri back stumbling with heavy blows.

Round 12 especially suspicious, where ruslan did some serious damage to algeiri's face bloodying him up. A wimpy jab does not offset the damaging blows, hence I think ruslan was robbed of a rightful victory.

Seen on most forums opinions are split on who won.

Just a case do you favour Algieri work rate and landing more or Provodnikovs punches.

Most have it a close fight not a robbery.

Scoring it personally, I thought prov did enough to win. Objectively though I can see how someone scored it for Algieri.

    Negative.

    Close-ish fight, right guy won.

There probably aren't 4 rounds I could give to Ruslan without being a hypocrite to every major fight that's ever been scored between a stalker and a true boxer.

Pitty Pat and running should not weigh more than hard punching and aggression

I scored it for him but he wasn't robbed. Can't see how anyone would say it was a robbery or couldn't have gone either way. Can't see how anybody had Algieri schooling Ruslan either like some people have said, unless they're letting their judgment be colored by how much of an underdog Algieri was. Sometimes when the big underdog fights evenly people want to give him double the points because of what they were expecting. Close close fight. Razor thin and totally arguable.

Algieri or whatever the f his name is didnt do anything but run n jab prov when he came in. His shots had little power and if thats what you guys like, than smh. If I was prov, I woulda just backed up and stay in the corner and let algieria come to him. What a disgrace.

    :deal This.

See lots of people score getting clouded both by underdog factor for Algieri, and for facial damage for Provodnikov. When in reality, who is favored or more "feared" should not matter in the slightest - nor should bruising or blood flying from damage sustained in a previous round count towards scoring of subsequent rounds.

I see lots of people talking about Algieris face, but most of that damage was done in the first round. A round Ruslan rightfully won 10-7. The fact that Algieris face was going to continue bruising from that damage throughout the fight is no reason to award Ruslan every subsequent round.
