I didn't keep score but watching it overall I felt the right guy won.

The fact his eye was swollen shut from the first round and he still won is extremely impressive.

Algieri'seye reminded me of Margarito's in the Pacquiao fight and at 30 it could probably swell up like a balloon every fight from here out. Ruslan may have lost the fight, but he won the war and Algieri fought a hell of a fight, especially with that damaged eye.

There was no robbery in this fight. I had it narrowly scored for Provodnikov, but there were at least 4 extremely challenging rounds to score. No matter who won, or whether it was even ruled a draw, there was definitely no robbery here. In a way it was pleasant to see a fighter get a decision who did not have the backing of HBO and a big name promoter. But it was a great fight and fiercely contested throughout.

underdog or not. Algieri did not do enough to convincingly win that fight. maybe to a draw but not a win. i give that dude props for toughing it out all 12 tho he held his own but still not enough.

this, but without watching it again or scoring it , i thought algeiry did enough to win and it was refreshing to see somebody who wasnt the house fighter get the deserved win.

I agree. Plus this is pro boxing. Effective aggression should weigh heavily. As oppose to ineffective survival.

I thought Ruslan did enough, especially given the 2 kds in round 1.

Very close fight... Depends what you like...

According to the *****s however Prov is an espn Bum and was shut out after the first round and that Prov losing last night means GGG lost as well.

For me it's who lands more scoring shots. And that was Algieri.

If Provodkinov was as good as you're trying to make him out to be, he would have done that.

No. I thought Provodnikov won after watching it the first time and immediately said it's a robbery. However, after viewing the fight a second time I still scored it for Provodnikov but the fight is definitely 50/50 and could go either way.

I had Provo winning but it was a close fight and no robbery.
