How would you apply that with round by round scoring?

    :good

Quite a few of the cards that were submitted for Provo only had him up by one or two points. Give one or two more rounds to Algieri in a couple of cases, and the percentage of those increases to the point where he's ahead in the polling.

A lot of close rounds. I gave it to Algiri by a few. A draw would not have bothered me.

    Rios is punchy b4 he's 30.....

Provo comes in bobbing like Frazier......Rios comes at ya face forward eating shots before throwing.
They get similar results but Provo could contend late into his 30s.....Rios will be getting TKOd by the likes of Allakverdiev, Algeria, and Peterson n the next couple yrs.

If Rios n Provo fought next....Rios would never get sanctioned to box again

I had it 116-110 Ruslan, but many rounds were very close, so I can see it either way. Not a "robbery" but I thought he won. But scoring for Algieri is understandable.

1 or 2 flush punches a round does not win you a fight. Provo was eating jabs all night and just following chris feeding into his game plan. Provo looked lost the whole night. Obvious win for chris. Glad the judges did not rob him. Roach failed to provide a game plan, he relied to much on provos power. Roach should of kept his mouth shut, now Garcia made him look like a jackass.

How do you factor in Champion vs Challenger into round by round scoring?

If the challenger wins more rounds he should win the fight whether it by by 1 round or 5 rounds.

You don't mean Maidana as a tune up do you?

Maidana and Matthysse beat him in my opinion they punch almost as hard but are more skilled boxers.

That sounds about right. And the close rounds should go to the champion. If Algieri was the champion going into the fight I can see him winning this fight, but not as the challenger. Neither of those two judges gave any of the close rounds to Ruslan. That is why this decision is total bull****.

I always feel you have to take the belt from the champion, fight could have gone either way but not sure Algieri even hurt Prov once with those pitty patty shots.

I was rooting for Ruslan but have no problem with Algieries getting the nod. Looked like Ruslan may have suffered from an adrenaline dump after the first round. And I think he may have fell in love with his power, thinking it was only a matter of time 'till he got to Algierie again. Lack of a consistent body attack from Ruslan is what allowed Algierie to run away with the win. It looked like Freddie got out cornered also, with Algieries team making the adjustment and Ruslans left wanting. Oh well, Algierie vs Pac next and then a rematch with Algierie and Ruslan.
