How do you think Floyd would be received if he had come out and said 'I asked Mosley to make 142 or 143lbs, he said he couldn't so I refused to fight him because I didn't want to give him the advantage of fighting at his natural weight'?

id rather fight left overs than be known as a cherry picker. never fought cotto when it was hot, or williams, or margarito, became the commissioner and made up his on drug testing rules to bail out of a pac man fight...rather fight sharmba mitchel, shot dlh, shot gatti than a prime sugar shane....
    please stfu

all DLH had to say was "no thanks"
bottom line is he got his ass kicked by a guy who turned pro at 107 pounds...

Pac fought C-level David Diaz at lightweight rather than the likes of Campbell or Guzman. He fought Cotot at below his natural weight. He fought an even more-shot plus weight-drained version of DLH. Then turned down a $40 million drug test after contradicting himself and fought the over-rated Joshua Clottey instead.

Gatti was just another belt, just like Diaz was. Mitchell was a fight to test the waters at 147. He offered to fight Shane in 1999 and 2006 but Shane turned him down, on one occasion because he apparently had a tooth-ache.

Floyd Mayweather was 106 pounds at the same age. What's your point?

Don't know but Shane didn't look good at all. And that is probably b/c of Floyd. Sure....Shane looked gased, but it was clear he was very tight and uncomfortable with Floyd's speed. Shane looked very different in there with Floyd as if he wasn't sure of himself....and if you aren't sure of yourself then you are gonna loose to someone like Floyd. Shane did WORSE than Hatton and worse than DLH.....Well....DLH actually did very well against Floyd. Floyd's best win thus far has got to be DLH.....Shane and then Ricky or Zab. Props to Floyd he's without a doubt the best WW out there. He's arugably #1 P4P with this win. He needs to fight Manny!

Fact is Floyd in his last 4 fights has not even been tested, apart from Shane's 2nd round.

Floyd needs to fight a live fighter.

It's not his fault Shane didn't fight up to par! Shane was the best WW out there based on who he beat and Floyd just dominated him. So that makes Floyd the best.

Although I agree he needs to fight someone who can test him.......he did sign to face Shane and that was his first true test at WW....and he passed that without any problems aside from the 2nd round.

He needs to face Manny who will give Floyd a challenge.

This thread is ****ing stupid, Margarito is a slow limited club fighter that made Mosley look 10 years younger, and that was 16 months ago, Shane is almost 39 years old, last fight PBF exposed Mosley's age and than he beat the crap out of him, OLD fighters always look decent against slow unskilled fighters BUT against speed and skill, they will show their age, after all this is a young man's sport for the most part.
