Was Shannon Briggs robbed against Vitali?

Briggs had fractured orbital sockets as I recall Never went down but took a brutal beating....... brutal

After the fight, even though Briggd did not go down, he respectfully said VK hit harder than anyone he had ever fought ( foreman Lewis , etc). I think he was being too kind though.. Briggs has been dropped by Lewis, but VK could not put him down


I recall chef said VK was infuriated with his team as to why he could not knock Briggs out

Briggs suffered broken facial bones and went into a coma after the fight. His life was in jeopardy, and he did not win a round.

The only robbery was Briggs corner did not stop the fight soon enough.

This fight does show how Lewis was so much bigger of a punch than Vitali was. Lewis starched Briggs years before in 5 rounds fight? Vitali beat Shannon for 12 rounds and couldn't drop him. Hell even fat George Foreman forced a much better Briggs to run from his power.

 

Now that I've had a couple years to think about this very important issue...
no, it wasn't a robbery.
