Was smoking allowed in the boxing arenas in the past?

    Do bears **** in the woods? Why do you think they called them smokers?

    As a few pointed out, probably all had smoking in the arenas back in the day s. Everybody smoked back then, and smoked everywhere.
    There was lighting up in interviews on TV, quiz shows, on the bus, in hospital s.. You name it!

    LOL; I like this back in the day! Maybe I am getting old, but I remember going to shows in the 90s where you could smoke. Indeed I would suggest until the smoking ban 12-ish years ago, smoking in boxing shows in England was happening.

    I’m surprised that some people are surprised about the smoking environment back then.
    It was just the way things were it was normal.
    It was more a case of who didn’t smoke.

    Yes, you can even see the smoke rising from the patrons on some old Joe Louis films.
