It was a clear 10-9 round for Solís before the freak whatever. Watch again. Vitali had landed exactly nothing. Jabs on the air and gloves. Easy round for Solís before KD.

 

It really does not matter, the fight was a joke.

Anybody who thinks Vitali actually hurt Solis with a punch is seriously just a fanboy. That punch did jack ****, and I do not even like Solis.

Vitali claiming it was a "solid shot" is a joke as well. I would call him a liar straight to his face, he is full of ****.

 

Klitschko was the one pressing the action and controlling the fight with his jab.

I already had my RBR post typed up and ready to hit "submit" when the weird ending to the round/fight occurred.

My score was 10-9 Klitschko, and it didn't require me to think twice for a moment. Then I edited it to say 10-8 with the knockdown, and finally had to edit "Nevermind, 1st round TKO".

Solis didn't win a single minute of that 1st round.

 

Solis was winning, but obviously there should have been much more fight. Vitali would have started landing with more regularoity as Solis tired, but Solis looked very capable of winning based on the first round.

 

There is no better win than a first round knockout, and over an Olympic gold medalist besides.

I don't want to hear crying about the knee- just as I have always maintained that Vitaly's cut was caused by a Lewis punch, the Solis Knee will be held to the same standards.

:good People are overstating the punches landed by Solis. He landed a nice overhand right and 2-3 more punches, but they were pretty weak. It doesn't matter what he did in the round. Vitali came into the ring to knock that mother****er out, and he did just that.
