He was doing good and I thought that he would give Vitali problems. The ending seemed very strange to me. That punch completely took out his feet, and when I saw the replay, I still couldn't believe that he got that seriously hurt from that. There are no short cuts to the top in boxing, and the kind of shape Solis comes in, something like this was bound to happen to him.
Silly thread. Vitali productively spent the round setting up what happened at the end of it. He controlled the ring, was setting the pace and measuring Solis with a jab and when the opportunity came up, counter-punched and knocked him down. Solis, on the other hand, acted recklessly. He rushed into action, as if in attempt to see the end of the fight as soon as possible exposing the weakness of his mental side. How on earth can someone interpret this as Solis' dominance is beyond me.
I thought it was a close round before the KD, neither was doing to much. Solis probably edging it as he landed the cleaner blows. KD DID happen though, so even if Solis had gotten up, it would've been 10-8 for Vitali. Stupid how people just disregard KDs as though they don't count for anything, like in the JMM-Pac fights
Got to laugh, Solis landed a couple of shots but he was put on his ass. Even if he'd made it to the bell it's a 10-8 round you ***gots.
Is this an elaborate prank? Are there people in here seriously claiming Solis won the first two and a half minutes of that round? I don't think all of these people are even Cuban. This is some Twilight Zone ****.
actually, i thought it was closer, Krasniqi in the studio thought Solis was winning the round. Im not sure he did enough, but it was the best effort in ages against VK - dont remember when he had a closer round in the last 4 years.
Step away from Vitali's stare, let's wait for the replay, PM me and let's score the fight up to the KD. It doesn't really matter to me how people see Solís. I have my own idea of him: whatever the reason, he seemed too quiet and calmed in the end, I don't like that. There was no anger, frustration or anything in him, just a void, emptiness. He should quit boxing now.
it didnt hurt him, it just trew him off balance, that was enough for Solis to go down... 10-8 for Vitalij
Solis was at least holding his own, until getting knocked out. I think it was close up to the knockout shot.
Solis was clearly winning the round. Solis was backing away and drawing Vitali in so he could counter him. Prior to the knockdown punch Vitali landed nothing clean to the head apart from maybe the odd occaison when a jab possibly pierced Solis' guard. He also landed a couple of decent right hands to Solis' flabby ribcage but thats it. Solis was able to land a couple of left hooks, 3 rights to the head and a couple of body shots. Solis was doing a good job of countering Vitali up to the point he got hurt.
