I don't know about that, throw in Arreola and Toney and he'd be a definate underdog in this 3 way pie eating battle royal. :happy
Just quicky read through the thread and my god, is this seriously how we judge a fight. Keeping the distance with his jab? Even if he can't ****ing land it? Thats some BS to me. I hope to god that judges don't score for that **** or every fight would be boring as ****.
I wonder how many years it took you to devise a scoring system which says that a fighter can win a round in which he was knocked out:rofl
You sir should never do a RBR again if you would have scored that round to Vitali before the stoppage. atsch
I am no expert but the round was pretty low key. I don't think either guy did a whole lot of anything. Also, once again, Vitali is an EXCELLENT sportsman...not. Like how he threatened Corrie Sanders after he beat the **** out of Wlad, he goes over and seems to talk **** to Solis. I mean, I don't think he faked an injury. He went down and grabbed the knee right away.
No bro , this is not the end , on the contrary , a lot of people now have a good opinión ( wich they didnt have before ) about Solis , he showed us in those short 2 minutes how good he really is , of all of Vitali's past opponents , he has been the best , of course you can't explain this to Vitali's nuthuggers , they are a special breed , more like a cult , so there's no point . All Solis have to do now is look after that injury and keep getting in shape ( wich I doubt now , because he should be at least 5 months off ) . I only hope he be mentally strong and confident because he is still the best challenger in the división . Peace .
Sorry you have no clue what you're talking about. Sanders won the first round against Vitali but he lost the fight. Just look how good Gomez looked in round 1, he landed two or three good left hands on Vitali. In the end he was stopped: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8r3m0_vitali-klitschko-vs-juan-manuel-gom_sport In the first 2.5 minutes Solis has used his strategy of trying to stay on the outside and going in for flurry attacks. There's absolutely no indication that he would have been successful over the course of the fight. He looked as good or bad as Gomez did. Nobody in their right mind thinks Solis "deserves" a rematch. To the contrary, Solis deserves a slap in the face for neglecting his diet and conditioning over the last three years. Solis can now get back in line, start from zero. He'll get surgery, take 6 months off and then come back by beating a couple of journeymen. Maybe he'll lose a couple of extra pounds. Then maybe in 24+ months in the best case he maybe in a position to get another title eliminator. By then Vitali will certainly be retired. If he manages to find a promoter that is, not sure if Öner finds the money to waste on him anymore.
For what reason? His injury occurred after a legal blow caused him to stagger backwards and fall. In the replay you can see the punch (to the top of the head) had an effect of giving him a jelly leg (really his left one mostly) and then on the way down he sat/sqatted funny so as to injure his right knee. That's a TKO. Did his right knee cause him to wobble and stagger back in the first place? Is there any evidence of that? And of course that makes it a 10-8 round in any event. Solis was going to be worn down anyway.
Who the hell cares? YES he was winning the first 2 minutes of the fight...wow big deal......the fat **** only has himself to blame for his loss
Would have given Solis the round, but barely. He got touched just as much as he touched back. I just liked his power shots a bit better than Vitali's jabs and his couple winging rights to the body. The K Bros step it up as a fight goes on. Solis' body folded after the first power connect. Fight over. Wouldnt have held up had it gone on, either.
