Was steele corrupt?

    He made some unusual calls but i honestly feel bad for him. He was under alot of pressure and in his interviews he never left a dishonest impression. I feel like he was an unluvky guy who was under more scrutiny than most and maybe couldnt deal with the pressure he was under, especially when you look at how he kept becoming more and more indecisive, mistaking 10 second warnings for "end of the round" bells in the RJJ toney fight. He also had the misfortune of refereeing several tyson fights were tyson misbehaved and disregarded his warnings and instructions.

    Maybe he was corrupt, he does have a strange track record. i dont know... but my gut reaction is that his mistakes were just human error that were excacerbated over time by the increasing pressure and scrutiny, once the notion of him being a "don king referee" got out.
