I MEAN ANYONE WHO BEATS EUBANK AND BENN TWICE DESERVES RESPECT AND I DO APPRECIATE THAT HE BEAT THEM LATE IN THEIR CAREERS BUT STILL IMPRESSIVE.
HE ALSO TOOK McCALLUM THE DISTANCE .
WAS FORTUNATE TO SEE HIM LIVE BEATING JOHNNY MELFAH BACK IN 1993.
    PERSONAL OPINION - A VERY GOOD BOXER!!!!:thumbsup

You'll find the caps lock key toward the left of your keyboard. Please press it til the little light goes out and leave it like that.

I don't count his wins over Benn very highly. Benn was shot to ****. Eubank was not shot though, but it was post Watson and that certainly cost him one fight, possibly both.

He really missed out on on the legacy by not facing Calzaghe, knowing what we know now, but Joe was just a dangerous banger back then - not a ten year belt holder, 2 weight champ and unified SMW champ.

He was very very good but I think prime Benn and pre Watson Eubank both beat him.

No, he was rated just about right in my opinion. What you saw with Collins is what you got.

Nope, I think he's overrated by a lot of people. He beat a past it Eubank and Benn. Prime for Prime, he would've lost to both.

i dont think he got lucky, you can only beat the fighter in front of you.

He probably would have lost to Eubank, Benn and Watson in their prime years, but he was a very good boxer all the same.

i thought he was one of the top 5 to have a shot at beating roy jones at his peak.

i dont know if he could do it. but he has an aggresive style iron chin and a dont give a **** attitude.
people seem to forget that benn had retired tearfully and happily proposed to his wife (with a swell the size of a tennis ball) after the thulani fight.

he went back into the ring to give it a one last shot....done his foot in and came back for an even bigger paycheck.the 2 fights with eubank were very real wins. collins did a very good job on outhustling chris.

eubank wasnt shot he still gave carl thompson one hell of a fight.

collins had a good career. could of cemented it with other wins but was looking for paychecks. good fighter could give any man a tough fight...no overating or underating

he lost 2 fights convincingly before he caught Eubanks and Benn at the tail end of their careers.

    Reggie Johnson and Mike Mcullam.

What it does show you is the depth of the divisions at the time. Compare it to now where we have comedians like Kessler etc

Nope, the only wins he has on his record are the Eubank and Benn wins and they were never the same after the Watson and McClellan fights and coming towards the end of their careers, prime versions comfortably beat Collins.
