Leonard was about as great of a fighter that there ever was in his prime.

I can agree with Bill and Red for the most part, no real argument here. Ljc, what are you talking about? Did you see that fight? Hagler definitely got robbed! Possibly a KO?!?!!! At no time during that fight was Hagler ever hurt.

SRL vs Floyd Jr, i don't see a knock out happening. I see the distance everytime, and imo, it could either way. That would be a tough fight to call.

You mite be right, I'm biased I really dislike floyd. I find it impossible to root for him as great as he is. His attitude stinks

Duran was not past his prime in 1980. He just turned 29 a week or two before. If anything Ray was not prime yet in June.

I kind of agree with you about Mayweather Jr's character.

I agree that duran wasn't past it, but ray wasn't green. He just thought as most ppl would that being the bigger man he would be able to fight duran toe to toe and win. He was wronge!

Imo, 1980 was a major turning point for Duran, mentally/psychologically and physically. He was an ATG LW who was desperate for competition. He never should've bothered going up in weight. Leonard should've had to come to him.

I dislike Leonard more than any fighter ever, but he's one of the top 5 I've seen in my lifetime.

Later on in the fight I bet Leonard going toe to toe was needed as he was getting outboxed too and it's easier to get leverage on the outside so inside Leonard actually had less risk of being KOd

the fact that Ray fought Duran's fight because of Duran insulting Ray proves he was not a prime fighter yet. A prime fighter fights his fight no matter what. And he admits that made him a better fighter to learn to stick to his gameplan.
