Kind of irrelevant. Buchanans jab was great not due to hight or reach but due to his technique, accuracy and variety. He pumped it out like a piston while moving circles around his opponents. In full flow it was beautiful to watch.

Honestly, I think Lomachenko ranks higher than Mosley as a lightweight since he fought better competition against a higher quantity of contenders and titlists.

He ranks nowhere. Plus he’d never be a lightweight in era’s past. Never unified or was lineal and his best opposition was limited. He was fantastic but he has no case for even top 20 unless we talk head-to-head but like I say, he wouldn’t be a lightweight in a different time.

No, he can not compare to the older fighters like Ike Williams and Beau Jack, who are two of my favourite fighters of all time.

Er…no. He’s top 40, I’d say, but that’s based on how he looked more than his opposition, which was pretty much garbage.

The last second ko on Mayorga was epic and the beat down he gave Margarito after he was caught with the plaster of paris was also epic. Mosley had alot of great fights but he was no angel having been caught using peds and steroids . I like Mosley but imo he is nowhere close to being the best lightweight of all time.

His resume there is thin and he wasn't there long but i think he'd present plenty of problems for higher ranked guys in the actual ring.

Yeah, H2H he’s higher up than actual resumé and achievement at the weight.

You shouldn’t be measuring Shane up with ATGs who were actually 135lbs. Shane was only a LW for the scales, you’d need to be comparing him to WWs and the such in fairness.

The Mexicans have a saying about lightweight Mosley, maybe you've heard it. "En casa de herrero, cuchillo de palo." Which, when translated, means: "If lightweight Mosley passes the eye test, he is greater than lightweight Chabbit Senior, and, in this case, Mosley does pass such a test as to be so, at the lightweight division, in the sport of boxing, in the men's category of all-time fighters there."

The answer for me is Duran, and as good as Shane was, he struggles making top 15 at the weight for me. Everything goes against him, he was hardly fighting murders row at that weight, wasn’t there that long, and his stands out performances were at higher weights, the lack of a real marquee name at the weight. The stats don’t stack up very well for him, hence the reason whenever a conversation comes about best ever lightweight I don’t think I have heard his name mentioned until now.

Head to head he probably stacks up better than most think, but for an overall resume he’s not really in the conversation for me.
