Was T. Hearns a puncher at cruiserweight?

    The one factor that is going straight over peoples head is the age factor, the facts are he was past his prime whilst at CW. I should imagine he would have been a better puncher had he peaked at that weight earlier.

    The problem is that a young prime hearns was a natural welter... Himself said that he had no problem making 145.. With the age your metabolism changes and you accumulate calcium too, usually starting at age 30 people tend to gain weight. He could make some damage at cruiser and lhw but he was not the big puncher anymore

    But has he aged so did his abilities, the loss of speed would have affected his punching power. I agree, he was not close to being a CW at a young age so the discussion is guesswork.
