Norton and Spinks were the best two HWs in the world. Ali beat Spinks, Holmes beat Norton. Ali retired and two people fought for the WBA, then Ali came out of retirement and fought Holmes. Then Weaver, who Holmes had beaten, went on to knock out said WBA holder. Pedraza was someone who also fought for a vacant belt, Wahid beat him but never beat the guys at the top of the division.
Like I said, its exactly because of fans like you that he's been able to market himself. He never fought the other belt holders, just fought people he could knock out knowing you'd lap it up. And you have. You always say you care most about how much your favourite fighters get paid. So this is what you want. You don't want him fighting the best and it going to points. You want him knocking mother ****ers out and getting paid. That's what you want, you've said so plenty of times on here. Floyd knew he wasn't ready, like you said, Floyd knew he could market this man on knocking mother ****ers out.
Nothing wrong with knocking mother****ers out. All so as you know I am an advocate of fighters making bank because once their career is over the fans move on to the next. No apologies on that. I probably see it differently because I have managed boxers before.
That may very well have to do with Roach. They have a history. I'm sure Roach studied Tank and knows how deadly Tank's counter uppercuts and straight left can be. And the commentators reminded us of that every damn chance they got. LOL
It's not something you need to apologise for. But boxing fans in the main have other priorities which is seeing the best fight each other.

He's certainly not top 10 P4P material that much is clear now. Somewhere between 10-20 maybe but definitely not top 10
He lost to himself through lack of discipline which he could get away with when he was young but it finally caught up to him.
Of course he is top 10. A bad night by his high standards does not negate that at all. I am pretty convinced he will stop Shakur’s or Shakira.
