Talking about Barker vs Geale obviously I thought it was a superb match. Don't know how Barker got up from that body shot. He took a barrage of punches after getting up and the ref was just about to wave it off until he threw a left hook showing he was still in the fight. Real, quality, 50/50 fight. One thing I didn't like though was the HBO commentary. There was one point where Kellerman said something to the effect of 'these two are tough but if they had the power of golovkin one of them would be out', which I thought was a disrespectful thing to say. Imagine if during Gatti vs Ward one of them had said 'these two are doing great but oscar de la hoya would blow them both away'. I mean it might be true but it was such a snide and disrespectful interjection that had nothing to do with the fight. Anyway, I had Barker winning by two rounds
In my top 10 for sure. Two guys who barely took a back step, fought cleanly and just threw huge volume of punches. Was very enjoyable to watch. For me there has to be a rematch after the mandatory.
Not in the top 5 maybe in the top 10 though There have been some good fights this year that will be remembered for a long time
Excellent fight. But not FOTY for me. Maybe fight of the year involving a British fighter although Froch vs Kessler II was quality. Round 6 was one of the rounds of the year.
I think ovil v enzo 2 and price v thompson 2 were also very exciting not boxing clinics but you were just waiting for a big punch to end it all, and wondering which way it would go
