Was that the greatest right hook in heavyweight boxing history?

Seriously who has landed a better heavyweight right hook than what Zhang just did? The right hook is the most dangerous punch in boxing from a southpaw stance. Orthodox fighters rarely fight southpaws and when they do, those southpaws usually have hard straight left hands. Even quality southpaws rarely throw right hooks with meaningful intent.

    Context & opponent is key.

Beautifully teed up with the left although have to say Joyce was molasses slow. Bad enough he takes the rematch but then he decides to be 281lb

He did it again with Wilder. I don't think there's any other southpaw that had an explosive right hook as Zhang.

You mean the second one, yeah? Not the nose clipper.

Eh, sort of a canned hunt when your opponent has turned his back to you and doesn't see it coming...but that said, yes, it was a mighty right hook. :sisi1

Wilder beat the count and followed the refs instructions. Disgraceful stoppage. The Bronze Bomber should have allowed to continue.

Wouldn't made much of a difference. Wilder was hurt badly, was flat on his back, dazed and he wasn't even protesting the stoppage. The ref did Wilder a favor by saving him from getting more clean power hits on him.

So be it. That would have been fate. But this is world level boxing. Fighters should be allowed to go out on their shields. Hell... Sometimes they come back from it.

Damn, didn't realize DW was outweighed by almost 60 pounds. That's just from the official weigh in, not the day of. May not be that much. Oh well, poor ol Wilder just needs to call it a day, stack his cash and spend good time with his family.
