I think he was fair. He gave Khan valid warnings which were ignored. I would probably have only taken the one point but Khan should have listened to the referee's instructions. If he did that, none of this would have happened.

Ref did ok, Khan screwed himself imo. Nothing to do but come back better for the rematch.

 

No he wasn't. Some of the stuff Khan was doing wasn't legal by the book sure, some of the stuff Peterson was doing wasn't clean or legal either. It was an ugly fight. Why single out one guy? Obviously home-cooking. And also, why is it only American fighters seem to get away with constantly bending the rules excessively as a tactic eg. Hopkins, Holyfield, Mayweather, Ward, I once saw Jermain Taylor hit and constantly hold Lacy for 12 rounds..And in fights like Hatton vs Mayweather, Ruiz vs Roy Jones, Khan vs Peterson such tactics are penalised and the non-American is prevented from doing it? It sucks, worst thing about boxing, besides the robberies.

 

Thing is, this ref was constantly talking to khan only. On the inside I felt lamont was diving in with his head when trying to get to the body, they would hold and referee would say to khan "punch out khan" and this was throughout the fight.

I think khan felt he was up against two guys tonight.

With Cortez khan would win, with bayliss or smoger it would be even foght and with this pile of **** we had today who I've never heard of.... Lamont wins.

Those bs point deductions in the last round ruined what could have been a fair fight.
