I was watching both of parts of these two classic fights and realised both were fought mainly on the inside, but both fights involved subtle skills along with amazing action, which fight do you think displayed better technique along with the mayhem?

No contest. The 15 round Brawl in Montreal was fought by BETTER fighters BETTER pace far BETTER skill and action. I see no comparison or contest. Both the fighters in Montreal KO, YES KO, the fighters from the other fight.

it was a little more even.. Ray and Duran fought evenly. Meldrick to me had the style to beat Chavez, but Chavez was breaking him down slowly and not evidently. both great fights.

I always thought Meldrick was a top notch fighter, would pick him to beat Leanard at even weights

What Ray had better than Meldrick was power. More snap to get him respect. Ray would have always beaten JCC.

Ray did have more power that Mel, true, I would still go with Mel between the two, though not a sure thing of course

Duran dominated in Montreal the fight shouldn't have been that close. Chavez/Taylor was a better fight. More clean punching, no wrestling and holding.

Chavez Taylor was a fight with a steady pace and a spectacular ending.

Duran Leonard was an explosive fight with a Staccato pace and moments of furious action followed bybwrestling and then more furious action. but a boring last round.

Both really great bouts and some of my favorites.

They are both great but Chavez/Taylor is slightly better for me.

Duran vs Lenard 1, is a much better fight.

If you are saying the Chavez/Taylor ending was better, okay, but the movie as a whole was not!

No way at welter, Ray was too powerful and Taylor got caught time and time again.

Leonard`s defense was better than Taylor`s in Montreal, Taylor was more sloppy and Ray fought better in the second half, Taylor began to slow at halfway and was getting really sloppy, Ray was in far better condition than Taylor was in their respective last rounds and keep in mind in Montreal they fought to the 15th, Taylor wouldn`t of lasted another round if it had been a 15 rounder even if Chavez didn`t catch him with that right, he was really busted up compared to Ray.
