The pair seemed to get along fine while promoting the fight and there wasn't any apparent animosity.

Given Chisora's last three performances, many feel this to be a mismatch.

Could the slap have been 'staged' to get a little public interest in this bout ?

Clearly. How much Vitali knew about it is unknown, though.

Vitali's reaction says everything, he was not expecting, which is why it shook him down to his knees.

Chisora did it for a purpose. I'd be pretty surprised if Vitali didn't half-expect something like it, too.

If Chisora does what I think he might do tonight, prepare yourself for an even bigger surprise before the fight even begins.

Nah, Chisora is just an unpredictable madman. There's something not ticking right there with that lad but I like him for it.

Vitali got slapped like a ***** though. Chisora EVT -1*

I saw you quite angry, pointing finger at Chisora and stuff :D

Is the team really angry with that stunt? I think I would be tbh.

Chisora has kissed two opponents and bitten another.

So the slap was right in line with his character.

So what? if someone constantly hits people and hits me, should I say "Ah it's ok, he always does that lol"?

Yes it was staged. No way would chisora risk the fight being called off because of that slap. Klits control everything, no way in hell would chisora be allowed to slap him in the build up without their consent. These guys are so anal they probably had something in the contract that says if you do anything physical to me or my brother pre match you forfeit 50 percent of the purse.

He was allowed to slap him because Klits gave it the OK. It's called hype and guess what it worked. Well done. Good for boxing.
