Just having an arguement with a noob on a different thread who's trying to say that the Cro Cop who Gonzaga destroyed was as good as the Cro Cop Fedor beat

    What do you think?

Was the Cro Cop Gonzaga beat still prime Cro Cop?

Arlovski was also on a 5 win streak before Fedor won him, and it is credited as a shite win. People are just people and will discredit things that don't fit their agenda.

Yes, Cro Cop was about 7-8 months removed from winning the Pride Grand Prix and brutally stopping Wanderlei Silva and Josh Barnett in the same night. He didnt just get shot over night.

I call this Randleman syndrome. CC came to the UFC and thought that title had his name on it. Admittedly he's had a ton of injuries that have hampered his performance greatly. But off the back of the GP where he put on such a stunning display of clinical savagery i wasnt expecting him to pull his Randleman syndrome out of the bag and expect Gonzaga to be a gimme. :-(

I know Cro Cop has that cocky mindset but dude listen agianst Gonzaga he got took down and battered with elbows dont you think the whooping he was already taking would have atleast woke him up and said **** this guy is for real ? Gonzaga can beat anyone in the world including Fedor IMO as long as the other guy doesnt get a strong chance to fight back if you catch where im going. His skills are as good as anyones or maybe atleast high level but his heart and composure are surely lacking. I still believe that horrifying KO is in his head alittle he never recovered.

he was still very good but like he said after the fight, he is not used to getting elbowed when he is on the ground. He was a little lightheaded after they got back on their feet and who would have imagine gonzaga throwing a high kick.

Crocop didn't expect it so he got KTFO.

He was getting handled before the KO as well.

If he wasn't "prime" he was 90% or more.

It was very similar to his KO against Kevin.

Cro Cop got caught. When Cro is on form like he was when he beat Silva, he looks unstoppable but I think a major issue for him is his mindset.

Definitely in his prime. He was in his prime directly before when he dominated his way through the Pride GP... after which MMA fans began to say that he would WIN a rematch against Fedor. Then, after Gonzaga destroyed him, everyone started acting like he was shot. I guess what really bothers me about that is that I don't want MMA fans to start acting like boxing fans in that regard. CC was at his best, and he got dominated. He didn't get caught, he wasn't washed up. He just got dominated at his best.

CroCop's UFC debut was pretty impressive. I know it was Eddie Sanchez, but CroCop stalked and beat him down as if someone dropped a rat in an anaconda tank at feeding time.

Yep. It's a slippery slope where ultimately no fighter ever gets credit and careers are never assessed correctly because opinions are manipulated and based on who you are a fan of.
