    That Joe Calzaghe fought underrated..?

So many people say Chris Eubank, took the fight at short notice..which is correct.

But was'nt Chris Eubank meant to be fighting at Light Heavy..before the Joe Calzaghe fight..? Its only 175 to 168..

I can remember after the fight, many people saying..

That Chris Eubank fought one of his best fights against Joe Calzaghe.

It was Joe Calzaghe toughness fight, all the way up until.."The Kessler fight"

    It was a ****ing WAR

Even though it wasn't Eubank at his best I'd still say he was one of the most dangerous men at Super Middleweight. A really good win for a inexperienced fighter like Calzaghe was at the time.

I'd go with that. Eubank was tipped by Boxing News to win in seven. Calzaghe certainly proved a point but was rocked badly in the last.. maybe thats why he avoided anyone in world class form for the next 18 defences.

Why does everybody love to hate jc??

What about Lacy he was apparently going to slaughter JC?

Robin reid was also a good fighter, I just dont understand all the criticism most sucessfull british fighters get

To be honest he did waste large parts of his career. If Joe could go back I'm sure he would change alot of things he did/didn't do.

It was a great win. Eubank was a live win. Joe did what he'd do at any time. Eubank fought an inexperienced Calzaghe who was punching himself out. A prime Calzaghe v prime Eubank still dominates.

The only man who hasn't made excuses one way or the other for this fight is Chris Eubank himself. Silence from a man like Eubank speaks volumes.
