Was the Kovalev-Ward 2 fight rigged vs Sergey?

Wouldn't say it was "rigged". No one was doing him any favors, but what can you expect fighting away from home anymore? I know I I've seen a lot of UK up and comers get away with murder in the ring.

 

He missed the low blows and Kovalev was totally defenseless. He didn't just stop it on those shots but on Kovalev's surrendered position. You can't turn your back or just sit there on the ropes hands down. Look at Molina-DeMarco.

 

That question does not have to be asked, the video shows it was clearly rigged. There was an on-going FBI investigation into fight fixing in Vegas around the time Vlad was drugged.........................I told them not to fight in Vegas, after that they never did. The referee was black and Ward is black. Its probably that simple. He even laughed at Kovalev when he complained of a low blow in the second round.

If you really think JDJ and Weeks had a hidden agenda planned out to sabotage Kovalev then you're just as empty and clueless as the rest of the simpletons on this site.

 

Just because something hasn't happened before doesn't make it impossible to happen. Circumstances and motivations change along with them. To be honest, Kov's post-fight inconsistent behavior casts more doubt on the bout's legitimacy than Ward's and the Ref's does.

JDJ definitely couldn't give a sh@te like he should, its evident in the post fight interviews. They both were to blame for the relationship getting that bad ! Do I think Weeks done it on purpose? Yeah he was pro Ward of course. Kov's been quoted on his twitter page calling Stevenson a ****** and go eat bananas etc...Another black man listening to that would be offended or at the least have an opinion on it that I think would sour future relations before they started

 

Yep, I thought Birmingham was just a super-nationalistic troll, but now he tosses race into it and it sounds like he's one of those British National Party "England for the English" "Keep the foreigner's out" type guys.

 

He wasn't really being punched in the sack, but his pelvis was taking a beating. I can't imagine how much that would take out of your being hit there half a dozen times over 20 minutes plus of fighting.

 

What I found strange was the blatant hbo bias commentary. At one point Ward hit Kov low and they said "it's borderline but he didn't put any mustard behind the punch". As if to say, ok it was probably low but atleast he didn't hit him hard there. And everyone knows it just takes a tap to hurt someone down there.
