    What's the story on this? Johnny Tocco said Liston was supposed to go down in this fight -- and didn't?

    Does anyone know more about this?

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

    Fix Faillllllll!

    "Did you end up taking the dive?"

    "Um, no, I was going to but I ended up breaking his face and causing him to get 120 sutures instead."

    "Well...that's...that's a breach of verbal contract of sorts, there."

    I have many gloves including gloves that were used in the Tom Sharkey/Kid McCoy fight back in 1899 and the gloves that were used in the Sugar Ray Robinson/Tony Riccio fight.

    Clearly, Wepner took a dive. Those cuts were from a shaving accident earlier in the evening.

    Magoo can back me up on this.

    I'm not talking about wepner agreeing to lose... But Johnny Tocco has gone on record saying that he believes per a visit and conversation Liston apparently had with two men a night or two before the fight, that he had agreed to go down.
    If that were true, obviously something went wrong and Liston beat the hell out of him. I'm just wondering, does anyone know any further details into this?
