What I say in the RBR's is hyperbole what I say in the vCash threads and kirk's challenge is what I really think will happen. I thought Provo would be stopped because of cuts and damage from the accumulation of punches and I was almost right.

Realy good fight. There were no Muricans involved to stink it up.

Lucas fought game plan against Provo, who missed an awful lot.

It wasn't provo holding on for dear life in the championship rounds so no you weren't nearly right. It was a md nowhere near a one sided beat down.

Provo is a tough sob, who is a plodder with limited skills and a ton of power. He gave Matthyse all he could handle.

Matthyse proved to have decent whiskers and we know he has good power and speed. A more accurate puncher would have had him out of there though. Although you could argue not many punch as hard as provo @ 140 especially one punch power. Matthyse probably is the man to beat @ 140 especially if Garcia moves up. But if he went to 147 he wouldn't be in the top 15 and Swift beats him 10/10

No Matthysse was being told by his corner he was ahead and he took his foot off the gas, and no he wasn't anywhere near being KO'd.

He even said himself that he was hurt in the 11th. It was a mixed decision and Matthyse won. I reckon they both won a bit of respect because of their toughness but at the same time they both showed some limitations imo.

He was hurt but not visibly that bad, but you're right they both deserve a ton of credit for being the monsters they both are.

It was a little bit of a letdown. I think we underestimated how much Matthysse might try to move and box and how much that would frustrate Provodnikov. It turned out to not be a bad fight. It just wasn't the fight of the year type war everyone was expecting.

    Great fight.

It's just being downplayed here because the ESB darling didn't win. It had everything we knew it would have.

Crawford/Dulorme was a good one too.

It was a good match. If you didn't find it entertaining, the there isn't much else in boxing for you.

Good fight but not that competitive to be great. I mean Provo wasn't blown out because his chin is iron, but he took too much punishment.
