Was the stoppage legit (Froch/Taylor)?

1in 14 seconds JT could have taken 1 or 2 punches that would have made the difference between being healthy and being a vegetable.

 

the interviewer was an idiot, not really seen him before as from the UK but he seemed to be implying that the ref should of let it go on!

 

Taylor was taking months off his live w every punch and increasing the chances of him turning into an inept ex boxer as he gets old.....If anything, the stoppage was late.


However, I appreciate the ref giving taylor the benefit of the doubt but at the end there he was taking WAY too much punishment and looked out on his feet throughout the 12th round

 

Agree with the above responses 100%. Taylor's life was seriously in jepardy but that is not a detraction - the man's warrior spirit kept on his feet but at the same time potentially could have given him permanent brain damage.

 

Blood was spraying from Taylor's nose and his face was shuddering all over the place. It was an ugly KO to watch. I don't like seeing that in a ring. I prefer UDs!

Taylor slump forward:dead, gloves down, chin on the washing line just waiting for Froch to deliver some big hayemakers.

Even though it was the last few seconds, totally correct decision.

yea i think it was legit. 14 more seconds and taylor would have won.

 

The interviewer was Jim Gray who is, in fact, an idiot. But the stoppage was exactly correct. The only thing holding Taylor up was the ropes. It would have been like Arguello-Pryor with Taylor taking tremendous punishment. He was totally out of it. Great, Great win for Froch.

 

this...if froch unloaded on him w no return and no stoppage for that final 14 seconds, taylor would increase the chances he becomes a vegetable in te near future by miles.

 

All that would have happened had the ref not stepped in then would be Jermain eating another 7 or 8 flush shots. The only thing holding him up was the succession of Froch punches.

 

Taylor was hurt and done and any more shots would of been too serious. Taylor should of took a knee after the first knockdown... The whole loss was his fault he stopped boxing in the 8th and was trying "to just do enough to win" rather than fight his heart out like Froch did.
