Something interesting I noticed was that before the fight started, they were announcing the names of all the judges that would be scoring the contest. During this bit, a SCORECARD flashed on the screen. It showed Joshua winning on all 3 judges scorecards. It was probably up on the screen for less than 3 seconds, but it was promptly removed. This was on the USA Showtime broadcast. Did anyone else catch this? I took a photo of it, just to make sure they didn't edit it out of later showings of this event. If anyone is interested in the photo, here it is: https://imgur.com/a/4GNKK If the link doesn't work for you, CST80 has embedded the image a few posts below. Obviously, the entire event can't be fixed, for instance they probably didn't forsee the ref doing what he was gonna do, and they didn't forsee a knockdown...But it does seem like maybe they told the judges to hand in those scorecards if it made it to the end or something. Very shady to say the least. EDIT: Since many posters were wanting to see video evidence I have uploaded a clip. I made it short so it is easy to pause in the middle and you can see the graphic pops up. You can almost imagine the guy running the editing going "WHOOPS THAT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO GO UP YET" and closing it. This content is protected
yeah i saw that but i just assumed it was a previous fight but now i realize that hes never gone the distance so now im saying wow what is going on >_>
Yeah it was quite odd. For a number of reasons: 1. Joshua has never gone the distance as someone here mentioned, why was this card here? It obviously wasn't from a previous fight. 2. Why would Showtime even have that graphic made? Was there another fight on previously who had those scores? I think the showtime telecast only had this event. 3. The three judges named are the three judges scoring the fight 4. If the event was fixed, why did they feel the need to pass this information to showtime ahead of time? Can anyone try to solve this without saying there could have been some type of corruption? What was the LAST fight on showtime by the way?
They have a lot of explaining to do. Its kinda like that live news feed of the twin towers going down LIVE, but they were down already before that newsfeed. Some dark forces are at work here.
Quite often during the judges introductions, they will showcase the judges scoring from their previous most significant events. Was any other information posted?
Anyone here have a twitter account? Perhaps you should tweet this pic at showtime to get an answer... It is something they should have to answer for.
That could just be explained as a delay in the broadcast. This however, showed an alternative event that didn't even happen. So it was almost like the promoters said "hey if Joshua goes the distance, we are going to have these scores, so worst case scenario Joshua UD, but we'll try to get the ref to stop it so he can have a perfect KO ratio!"
Lol Why am I not surprised. And I’m sure Joshua passes his UKAD post fight ‘test’ with flying colors too!
shameful if true... but 116-112 would be kind at best haha. Joshua was on his way to a clear 118-110 or 119-109 win.
Lol. This is very shady indeed. Really wish I could ask showtime what happened... Also found it weird that the commentators didn't say anything about it. To their credit, they themselves may not have known what happened there either. But if the mistake was honest on showtimes part, maybe they would have TOLD them what happened, THEN they would have explained the mistake. I didn't see any explanation anywhere.
