Seems to me this current era of boxing rampant with ducking and nobody wants to fight the best at their best but instead it's all about money.

I only got into boxing just recently, past 2 years to be exact but was there rampant ducking in the 90s? Early 2000s? 80s? 70s? And back then?

Was there an era where nearly every fighter had ***** and wanted to take on everybody?

A lot of ducking comes down to management, if they think their cash cow could get whooped then why would they take a chance?

There was a time when ducking an entire group of people with a different skin colour was considered the norm.

So yes, its always been there

Sugar Ray Robinson ducked good black fighters like Charley Burley. Jack Johnson wouldn't give any black boxer a shot at the belt.

I think sanctions are the cause of duckings. They made it easy to avoid certain fighters and be a world champion at the same time.

It's a terrible list. 1. Bob clearly said cotto wasn't ready for Floyd. 2. Margarito in 06 had done nothing to warrant floyd "ducking" him, and same goes to 07 Williams, he didnt haev Quintana, Martinez, Winky, etc on his resume, the only notable name on his resume was mitchell. 09 pac, we all know Pac refused testing, I wonder why? Zoo in 04? lolol, floyd can rightfully be accused of not fighting guys in their prime, but ducking any of those guys above? that's just comedy.

Ovids said it was a list of "great fights that didn't get made", not necessarily ducks. In my opinion, those are all great fights that did not get made. I didn't assign blame and neither did he.
