Dont know if there were talks but this would of been a frustrating fight for tiger despite the obvious size and strength advantage.
There was some talk of them fighting in a non-title match in early '66, following Tiger's recapture of the MW title from Giardello, but it didn't come off.
As Angelo Dundee would say, "Luis would have jitterbugged Tiger all over the place." Tiger didn't deal that well with speed or those with good boxing skills. I can't envision him catching up with Luis Rodriguez. Styles make the fight and this is not a good one for Dick.
