Was there any fighter in history with Duran`s reach and height that could have beaten Hearns?

I don`t think any fighter with Duran`s short arms could have beaten Hearns at 154 or beneath, am I forgetting anyone?

No, all would've had a similar result, some earlier some later, but just the same.

I guess Armstrong might have the best shot.

Not sure he would beat Hearns but Carmen Basilio seems to meet the criteria although he had an additional inch of reach and was half an inch shorter

Walker would be the best bet.

Qawi`s height was the same as Duran`s but he had a longer reach and Hearns was no cruiser.

What about Aaron Pryor? He beat Tommy in the amatuers before Hearns really developed his power and that was at 139 right? Pryor rushing in and trying to do what Hagler did. I just don't see it really since had Hearns countered and hit Pryor like he did Hagler I think he stopped Pryor. But Pryor crowded Hearns when they fought in the amatuer ranks and was on him close. You wonder if Hagler had access to that fight tape in 1985.. Although Hearns in 1985 was a lot better than Hearns in 1976

Pryor had a lot more reach tan Duran and Tommy wasn`t a big puncher as an amateur, Steward went towork on his punching as a pro.
