Was there ever a greater waste of talent than Tony Ayala?

    We just do not know how good Ayala would have been. He had power and he would have beaten the likes of Davey Moore I think, but the fab 4 level we just do not know about. Some of Tony's weaknesses of not moving his head would not have worked against that elite level like Hearns or Duran where those guys look for things like that. But besides that, Ayala could have been a champion and had a decent reign. I am not sure I believe he had superstar in him, he seemed easy to hit and one dimensional to say he would have been great. I do not think he would have been in the class of Hagler,Hearns,Duran,Leonard and Benitez. But he could have beaten the like of Davey Moore and Mark Medal. Guys like that for sure.

    I think Moore would've handled him, but it could've been a good fight.

    I know some Old timers that were on the insides of the fight game since back in the days., And i name i always here is Keeny Teran word is he was an awesome fighter and could have been an atg, but ended up being a Heroin addict back in the 50s.



    More recently Panchito Bojado, Ricky Womack
