Was there ever an ATG who achieved so little when champion, as Foreman ?

Sweet, I was not referring to Tommy Hearns career as an easy route. I have referred to him in my posts on this subject as an ATG and a superstar. That is what I think of Hearns overall, head-to-head and his legacy as a fighter. What I was not impressed with was his reign as a welter champ. Again, I am a purist. I do pick out things that I just don't think we as fans should grant a pass to. If one wishes to fight a bum while champ, call it a non-title bout but don't insult our intelligence by calling it a challenge to their crown. And when you are a superstar I do believe it raises the bar even higher. So when a Luis Primera who was a 15-0 novice with no recognizable names on his record and a clubfighter like Pablo Baez is suddenly 'challenging' for the world title, we as fans should not just go along with it, but call it what it is. Foisting this down our throats is insulting. As I said before, the Shields fight, although acceptable on the fact that he was rated, was a mismatch and there wasn't anyone outside the Shields camp that thought otherwise. He had as much chance as Brian London against Ali, which BTW, was a mismatch and should never have been sanctioned (I can't let go).
