Was this a cheapshot by Maidana (Ortiz fight)?

He will be for the next season (And he was in the last season a bit I think).

Not even. Maidana knew what he had to do when he had to do it. He's a world class athlete.

 

Did not look like he was trying to touch gloves at all. Just a super soft jab.

 

Funny thing is Khan likes touching gloves a lot

He did it quite a bit in the Kotelnik fight. Didn't do it too much in the Malignaggi fight.

 

That's not cheap. First of all, you have to know your opponent and know that if it's cool to touch gloves, and second of all I don't know if Ortiz was wanting to touch gloves or what that was. It's not like the James Kirkland-Joel Julio fight where you can see Julio wanting to touch gloves, but Kirkland fired out a haymaker anyway.

I don't think it's a cheap shot. As soon as the bell rings, you should be ready. Don't expect your opponent to touch gloves with you. He's free to hit you!

 

That's how I see it, once the bell goes there's no room for sportsmanship.

 

Maidana's speed is hugely underrated.

his foot speed aint the best but he has deceptive handspeed they arent that slow as people make it out to be. Maidana will land on Khan we just have to see how Amir reacts to probably the biggest banger he has faced yet
