    Hitman's punching overrated???

You remind me of a debate I had with a fellow Boricua about his impending fight with Pipino Cuevas. I said Hitman would knock him out but my fellow Boricua laughed at me and said that I knew nothing about boxing.

    Then, KABOOM!!

I am quite certain that Mr Cuevas would take issue with this erroneous assessment.

There is no hype surrounding Thomas Hearns power. It was a reality. Ask Duran, SRL, and Hagler.

Before OR after the Hearns fight had anyone hurt Duran as Hearns did. Hearns did have Julian Jackson power, but with much better boxing skills. He was also very explosive. Don't forget he dropped Leonard multiple times in their rematch and even Leonard admitted Tommy deserved the win. He also KO'd a durable Roldan one Hagler couldn't.

Hearns was a crushing puncher period. On top of being a gd boxer. The only guy who amazingly took a lot of shots to get to him amd knock him out was none other than Hagler. A fighter that no one with a brain will ever question his abilities. Hearns brought artillery regardless of his punch resistance

Hyping is an European detail. Most of them are hyped and usually whenever you see an Afro-American being hyped it's because hey plan to feed him to an European hype job.
Tommy Hearns would KO everyone at Welter today.
