We know he would not go 12 with Hatton he would ****ing ko him before 6th, seriously Floyd stopped Hatton and Hearns so much harder than Floyd its not even worth talking about, believe me it would be more savage than Pac ko of Hatton.

If that was the case then Vernon Forrest would've dominated everyone like Hearns did. Hearns nearly had the full package, besides his somewhat shaky chin.

what!?!?!?!? Tommy Hearns was hella verstaile, he could out box the best boxers and outslug the best sluggers. His only downfall was a less than stellar chin but he was so good he became a top 30 ATG without it.

Tommy could do everything. And the guys he beat is better than most of the ATG guys on most people's top list. As for his chin, it was not terrible but undependable, more after the Barkley fight and when he went past 168. He really was not hurt much prior to the Hagler fight. It was a chin of a guy who was almost 6-2 who weighed 147 and 154. It was the way he was built which made his resistent to taking big big punches less. Bob Foster had the same problem. But you look at a fighters strengths, and Hearns was one of the best. Sort of a ridiculous thread. Sort of like making a thread and saying Michael Spinks or Marvin Hagler were limited because Hagler got a draw with Vito and lost to Sugar Ray Leonard.

Tommy didn't have the best chin, but it certainly wasn't glass. You needed a big punch to get him going, and the finishing skills to pull it out if you did hurt him. He was stopped by Leonard after 13 rounds of solid punches, Middleweight Hagler in an absolute war, and huge Middleweight Iran Barkley in a one-in-a-million punch in a fight he was dominating.

But what? Who could out-box him? He "out-boxed" both Leonard and Benitez. He "out-boxed" Virgil Hill at Lt. Heavyweight.

At 147 he was stopped one time... Round 14 (not 12, but 14)... by arguably the best fighter ever.... while ahead on the cards... The same fighter whose ears he boxed off in the rematch...

He was also stopped by arguably the best middleweight ever (Hagler)...

At higher weights, he was obviously out of his best weight class... But was stopped a couple of times.

I just don't understand the glass-chin bull**** people are talking about.

And about Pac? Thomas Hearns is OFFICIALLY the worst possible matchup ever for Pac. If you think Pac stands a chance against a guy who could (and would) box him on the outside (the way he did Leonard) but would finish you off if the opportunity happen to present itself (Like he did Duran) then you need to pass me some of what the **** you smokin...

And we won't even talk about that other "Hitman" ...I don't even know how his name was even brought up in this disgraceful thread.

Just talking in terms of style. Some seem to perceive him as more of a pure Boxer.

I'd agree with you there. Definitely a boxer-puncher, but he could flat out box with the best of them, and his physical attributes made him pretty much impossible to beat in that sort of scenario.

Stupid thread, Thomas hearns is an atg boxing warrior that could only be beaten because of his weak chin, but he had a lot of things that made up for that, think about this, why couldnt breland do what hearns did while being considered a bigger talent than tommy.

Are people actually criticizing one of the greatest fighters to ever walk the earth? Imbeciles. And what weak chin? The guy got KO'd by SRL and Barkley. He practically murdered everyone else.
