He had another Ud over Hayman.
Hovewer his power wasn't overrated by any means, except if you have Hearns above the likes of Jackson in term of p4p power.

Superfluous drivel.Of course he didn't have the same power when he went up the weights.That's a fact of life in boxing.His best power was obviously at the lower weights and I'm sure Cuevas and Duran would provide a definitive answer to your question.

Unfortunately he died a week or so after the Hearns fight from a motorcycle accident.:-(

 

Keep in mind that boxers were tougher then then today. There were about 10 kirklands in each division, with better chins.

Imagine Hearns hitting Ortiz with one right cross. Ortiz would have started crying immediatley and jumped out of the ring.

 

KO% is not the end all be all of power, especially when there's a huge disparity in the quality of opponents.

 

Hearns ko's were ppl clean cold n the floor. None of this crazy ref stoppages that calz built a career out of.

haggler had a hell of chin and was good size mw. tommy was had been moving up from welter. at welter he was monster puncher the higher he went up in weight the real good fighters could take it better, so he became a good puncher. but i think at welter tito trinidad was harder puncher then herns. he went to mw and still had good power, he destroyed joppy. took a younger hopkins late rds to stop him, even though he was ****in him good in the fight.
