he has only to good names on his record a win over ovill mckenzie and a ko loss to courtney fry was he exposed against fry
i've met the guy and i'm annoyed as when i met him i literlly walked through the door and the bell rang to end hi sparring with Darren Sutherland i was gutted anyway top bloke apart from teh kidnap, assualt etc... had quick hands fdrom what i saw on the gym
really good fighter.. had some personal problems before the fry fight... since has moved down to super middle & is now being trained by babatunde ajayi!!! Expect big things from him in 2010.... British or commonwealth title!!!!
He's not with Tunde anymore pal.. Tony is a good fighter, He needs stability and direction in way of lifestyle and coaching!! He has all the attributes of a good fighter, Speed,Power,Movement etc etc.. I just feel he needs a bit of a push in the right direction that's all..:good Be good to see how he fares with a few decent supermiddles.. Good luck to him..:good
Bellew...thanks for the info mate!! Do you kno y he left tunde?? Who is he with now?? I rate him highly and there could be alot of good domestic fights for him over the next couple years!!! Good luck in your next fight mate.. Hows training going??Liverpool init?? on the Quigley vs Smith undercard!!
Seen him fight live a few times and he looks interesting. Another fighter that could still be something good on the domestic scene if training right.
Fighting othe DEBRA boxing show first on 18th September, then out again in Liverpool mate. Training has been going great and I can't wait to climb back into the ring I really can't.. Salam and Tunde split over a dispute with Dean Powell being Tony's manager and Tunde and Dean have been friends a long time so I think that's why that ended.. Tunde stayed loyal to Dean.. Quigley and Smith is gonna be a ******* it really is although Im shocked at Quigley for going through with this I really am, I truly believed he didn't wanna fight Paul so credit to him.Although he'll lose.. Thanks for the good luck and same to you pal..:good
Smart move from Tunde...Tony Salem must be crazy to won't nothing to do with Dean Powell.. He's done wonders for so many boxing careers!!! I've got alot of respect for Quigley for taking this fight... You can't underestimate him!! who'd have thought he would have beaten dobson? "cracking fight by the way" If he shows the same kinder heart & determination he's in with a chance!! Do you think your ready for Clevery now?? Would you think of taking on Mcintosh first??
I'll take on either mate, I feel im ready now BUT you know how boxing is, I don't make the decisions on the fights I just beat who they put in front of me, Quigley did great against Dodson BUT I really felt for Dodson as all he had to do was stay on his feet and the fight was his. I think Paul is a step too far for Quigley but make no mistake it'll be a cracking fight.. Dean does well for his fighters to be fair to him, I don't know how many chances Darren McDermott has had but it's down to Dean I know that much.Tunde is a good coach and I feel he made an honest decision when it come to loyalty..:good.
you would beat cleverly his hasnt really fought any one and he is talking of fighting for a world title soon he is looking to far ahead i have seen a few of his fighs and i dont rate him he will not make it past domestic level
Salam is a good operator, can he last the 12 round distance though? I've not seen the fight, but I heard he gassed against Fry. Still, the move down weight may prove to counter-act this problem - he certainly has the tools to reach the top domestically, although I have a feeling he could be used as a stepping stone for DeGale or Groves...
