Look, all i'm saying is, when it comes to speed, Tito isnt at the top of anyones list. I never said he was slow. All I said was that he had "decent speed". Aside from you, I dont think anyone can disagree with that.

I never said his hand speed was at the top of my list in comparison to the great handspeed welters, but it was good and if he had a stationary opponent it was very good.

Trinidad had amazing timing, accuracy, recovery, and power. He also had good speed, straight punches, and amazing stamina.

He was a little clumsy on his feet, defense was not great, and wasn't a very intelligent fighter in the ring.

Overall, he was a great fighter who would beat most fighters today campaigning between 147-160.

That I totally agree with. His timing was sharp! He knew exactly when to throw that bomb in order to maximize its effect upon landing!

His H2H ability was very good, and he is such a great fighter to watch as an archetypical boxer-puncher with a monster left hook, but his resume IMO is a bit below what people talk him up to be. Though in fairness he fought great competition consistently, so comparing his abilities across eras wouldn't necessarily be against his favor.

Exactly when did Ricans become a separate "RACE"? :rofl:rofl

Are PRs just dumb, or simply stupid to not understand that they are not a RACE? According to the recent census, 90% of Ricans classified themselves as, white. :nut

Trinidad was not over rated. He was just placed in a bad position to fight an ATG like Hopkins based on his performance against the lesser, Joppy.

Race is socially constructed and has no inherent rules for categorization, and the US census ignores the nuances of different variations of Latin American ethnicity.

Clearly the TS just meant he wasn't trying to start a nation-based argument.

According to European Racial dogma, there are four races. The "rules" were introduced via the Bible describing the children of Noah and their descendants. Perhaps you've never read the bible so are unaware of this.

Sorry to announce that Puerto Ricans are not included in these descriptions.
In fact, Ricans are simply mulattoes who according to their own polled 2010 census responses, classify themselves not as two or more races, but Whites. :yep

Yea well **** Colonial racial divisions. But I see your point.

Unfortunately answering white is the only socially acceptable answer to many Latinos who are victims of a racial structure and standard of beauty at home as well as in the US.

Anyone that says Tito is overrated is in denial and simply hating. The guy rule the 147 division, ended guys careers, beat former olympic fighters, champ in other weight divisions, defeated plenty of good undefeated fighters, what more can you ask...
